Five Beautiful Blessings Between Heaven & Earth

Usually there are some thing we just don't announce until "later" but after Colette joined our family it kind of changed our perspective a little bit.  A few weeks ago we announced to our families that we were expecting.  Are we nervous?  Yes.  Are we scared?  Yes.  Are we doing the right thing?  Yes.  Knowing that this will be the last pregnancy we can have for health reasons we are praying that this time we can bring this baby home. On the 22nd of Sept  Dusty and I went to my Dr.'s office for this baby's first apt.  It was good to see and hear the heartbeat in the ultra sound and see how our little jelly bean is progressing so far.  During the ultra sound we also got some very unexpected news.  We are not having one baby,  we are having TWO!   Yes two babies.  Bridgett says one for her and one for Aaron.  Hard to argue with that logic. Bridgett has turned 4 which means that she is now old enough to start having a Daddy daughter date every year on her birthday,  She gets to decide where she goes and what they do.   Aaron has been doing his Daddy son date since he turned 4 as well and it's something that the kids really look forward to.   When I was growing up my dad took us all on a date for our birthdays each year too and it was something that I loved and looked forward to every year and I want my kids to have that same fun special experience. This year Bridgett chose McDonolds  big shock right?   But the big shocker was that she wanted brother to come along too!  I have no doubt that as she gets older she will probably grow out of that, but its' her date and if she wants brother to come then that's just fine!  So they all went out to dinner together and had a great time. Happy Birthday my girl!  I know I say it all the time but I just can't believe how big you are getting...

Today we had Bridgett's 4th Birthday Pary,  I can't believe how big my baby girl is getting!  She has been so excited to have her birthday since back in April when Aaron had his birthday.  It's been a long wait but it's finally here. I decided to go with a strawberry theme for her party since she loves strawberries so much.  I went with the colors green and pink.  She seemed thrilled with that. Here was her invite. and I added this photo to the back, She had a great time opening presents and of course she did it the Bridgett way,  which means that she had to play with each present first before she moved on to the next one!  Still drives her brother crazy but it's what makes her happy so what do you do?   After presents we served lunch,  homemade rolls with cheese and lunch-meats and of course cupcakes!!     her cupcakes are supposed to be strawberries,  hence the pink cake with the leafy green frosting. ...

Bridgett has a new talent.  Bridgett loves to draw!  She will spend hours drawing drawing after drawing.   All of which she is very proud to show off!  I think that she has gotten very good at it too!  Here is one of her drawings,  She told me that It's Me,  her and Colette.  I think we look great!

What has Bridgett been up to now that Aaron is back in school?   She sure misses her brother while he's at school all day :(  I didn't sign her up for pre school this year even though she is old enough to because she has a late birthday and has 2 years before she will be able to go to kindergarten.  I was afraid that if I put her in two years of pre school she would get bored. :(  So i opted to put her in gymnastic's class at the rec center.  Once she understood that I was going to stay with her while she was in class she was very excited. We bought her the cutest little outfit for her new class.  She loves it!  She keeps asking if she can wear it to church..... ummm no.   Here she is in her little outfit before her first class Don't you wish you looked that good in a cute little outfit like that?  Yes I'm so jealous!   She did great in her class,  she loved it,  did what was asked of her and at the end asked if she could...
