Five Beautiful Blessings Between Heaven & Earth

Well we finally got our snow!  we shoveled and shoveled and shoveled  while the kids played and played and played.  it was fun to watch them while we worked.  and its a good thing our house has 2 bath tubs because they both needed a hot bath by the time we were done!

The other weekend (yes I'm late posting!) we had to run to the mall to get something and while we were there we decided to walk the mall with the kids.  Boy was it crowded!  I'm not sure why I was so surprised,  I know the holidays are coming I guess I've just been in my own little world for so long that I have not noticed how close we are getting to them.  We juggled the crowds with the kids,  I wished that I had Bridgett's backpack for her so I could hang on to her bear's tale she get's so tired of reaching up to hold someone's hand, so after a while I just held on to the back of her hood.   While we were there we passed the build a bear work shop and Dusty and I told Aaron that they could pick out a "bear" to build and it would be part of Aaron's reward for doing SO awesome in school and with his spelling.  He has gotten 100% on every spelling test except for one and he only missed on on that test because he spelled d backwords.  He's do...

This year mom and dad drove down to Auntie gay's with Nannie and Papa so it was just us for Thanksgiving dinner (us on my side of the family I mean)  about a week before Thanksgiving day I realized that Mom and Dad Chadwick's house was still not put back together from their remolding so Dusty and I invited them over to our house for Thanksgiving dinner.  It was a good dinner.  Mom took care of the turkey for me, and I made homemade rolls and double chocolate mousse cake and an apple pie and I even got to try a new recipe that I've been wanting to try for a while.  The pumpkin pie cheesecake swirl recipe,  It seemed to be a pretty big hit!  It was fun but exhausting!  By the end of the day I had a HUGE migraine but I guess that it just part of being a mom right? Later that night when Tiffany's boys went to bed (Caden is still on a feeding tube and can't eat any real food and freaks out when anyone else does around him)  she came over ...

This morning while the kids were eating breakfast I stood at the counter writing up my todo list for today, Clean the kitchen Clean the floors Clean the upstairs bathrooms bake the rolls finish the double chocolate mousse cake bake apple pie bake pumpkin cheesecake pie... work on my book As I'm writing thinking about how much I have to do and Aaron announces "I know what we should do today"  of course I cringe  you have to understand its only 9am and he's already asked if we can go swimming,  or drive to California to be with the rest of the family and a few other impossible huge  tasks that I just can't do today even if I had time! "what should we do today Aaron?"  I asked,  holding my breath that maybe this time it would actually be something I can squeeze in between baking things "Well I think since it's all wintry ouside,  we should sit by the fire place,  and turn on the fire and play a fantastic game of UNO!" I needed to take a photo of Dusty and Aaron together for something that Mom needed.  I don't think either one of them really wanted to get their photo taken at that time but I did get a really good one! So I thought I would share. Aren't my boys cute???  I think they are just perfect!

So I've decided to work on a Christmas present for Bridgett,  I won't go into to much detail but this is what it will be made of! I think she will like it,  Now I just need to find time to get it all done before Christmas.
