Cleaning out the garage...

The last several weekends I've been working on cleaning out the garage.  My main focus has been on the baby clothes.  We have a whole wall of shelves that my dad put in when we moved into the house 4 years ago and over 2/3rd of it is baby clothes!  I'm pretty sure that we don't need ALL of that, so I've been slowly been going through all the sizes and reorganizing.  Getting rid of all but my most favorite pieces.  I'm happy to report that the boys clothes have all been gone through and placed in their containers and labeled ready for the next use.  Now I need to get on with the girls.  Yes I'm sure there is a reason that I started with the boys.  It's hard to look at all the clothes that Colette should be wearing but won't.  But I'm sure I can do this.  Just one step at a time right?   So Today I'll be starting on some of the girls clothes Bridgett has informed me that she wants to help  :)  Wish me luck!

First Day Of School

Today is Aaron's first day of 2nd grade,  I can't believe he's in 2nd grade!   He told me yesterday that he wanted Bridgett and I to walk him to class the first day to make sure he didnt' get confused but that every day after that I could just drop him off.  Glad that he knows what he wants!   Bridgett was just sure once again that SHE was going to be going to school with Aaron too.  Man we have a long couple of years before she really does start school!  I love that the one who has to go to school does not want to and the one who can't go to school wants to!  So how life is right?? Here is Aaron sporting his new back pack.  He was so excited when I brought his home from Park City back in May.  I was not planning on getting him and new back pack but I found this one for only $5.00 how can you beat that?  And he is so into army camo lately!  He loves it!  Hopefully it helps him to have a better first day :)    We...

Lagoon!

We decided to take one last family trip the week before school start.  Aaron is going into 2nd grade and we have never taken him to Lagoon.  At first I was not going to take Bridgett, but then as it got closer I decided that we should go and make it a family thing.  Of course I always stress out that I'm going to loose her,  but I figured between Dusty and I we could keep tabs on her. We pulled up in the parking lot and got things ready,  we put sunblock on every one and packed the back pack with some snacks and left the stroller and everything else in the car, and made out way to get tickets to get into the park.  The kids were so excited!  I don't even know if they really were even aware of what it was we were going to do,  but they were bouncing with excitement! We went to buy our tickets,  Of course we happened to go on the day that there were no specials,  no sales,  nothing.  Which was fine we knew it would cost a bi...

Bad word!!!!!

"SCHOOL"  has I guess somehow become a bad word in the last few months.  I'm not really sure when it happened, but today I asked Aaron if he was ready to start school which to my surprise he burst into tears.  I was shocked!  Aaron has for the most part always liked school,   I said "but aren't you excited to be with your friends more?"  to which he shrugged and said "I don't want to have to learn times tables."     ummmmmm  my first thought was  I thought those were third grade,  my next thought was who told him about times tables?  Grandma Cindy asked him who told him about times tables and he said Miss Trimble.   Mom and I looked at each other and I said "oh  of course..."  Miss Trimble is also the teacher last year who as they were getting ready to do their play told them about stage fright.  All the kids were find until she did.  Once she did they all HAD stage fright.  There are just somethin...

Good friends and Good times

We've been having a standing Play date every friday.  It's been nice to just know it's planned and not have to re plan every week.   My good friend Shanna has a daughter Aaron's age and a son Bridgett's age and the cutest little 7 months old.      I love that they let me bring out my camera and take photos while we hang out.  Bridgett's new spedo swimsuit.  She LOVES that its' like her swim teacher Missy's suites! Oh and  now that we have a new toy in our yard its' even more fun to play at out house! We like to borrow this little guy for some younger sibling practice :D   Aaron had Bridgett to watch her grow when she was a baby but Bridgett got a bit jipped with Colette,  so sometimes were all for borrowing!  My children are FASCINATED  with babies!

Playing together

Aaron and Bridgett love to play together,  and for the most part they do so very well!  I listen to other Mom's talk about how all their kids do all day is fight and I just can't help but to be grateful for the great friendship that Aaron and Bridgett had together.  Of course they have their moments.  Who doesn't?  But it helps that they are both pretty easy going.  I think it also helps that there is 3 and a half years between them.  Didn't we want them closer in age?  Well Yes of course we did!  But there are somethings that you just cant control.  And in the end you have to put it in Heavenly Father's hands,  and now years later as I watch my children play I can't help but admit that Heavenly Father does know what he's doing! Aaron and Bridgett love to play together,  and for the most part they do so very well!  I listen to other Mom's talk about how all their kids do all day is fight and I just can't help bu...

Special Birthday cupcakes

Image
This morning I baked 6 dozen Birthday cupcakes.  half were died pink and half were left white.  Why two different colors?  Well because these were very special birthday cupcakes.  Our good friend Ashley has come up on her 1 year anniversary/birthday for her twins.  1 year ago she gave birth to Kingston and Scarlet.  Kingston had trisomy 18 and only lived for a little over an hour,  Scarlet though premature was healthy and so Ashley is having a 1st birthday birthday party for Scarlet and we also wanted her to have some cupcakes there to remember Kingston.    My friend Shanna and I drove down to Springville with all of our unfrosted cupcakes and frosted them at her house and put them in her fridge for the party tomorrow. She is doing a strawberry theme for Scarlet so this is what we came up with for her. sorry they are kind of fuzzy it was a little dark and I only had my iphone to take photos with. And here are the cupcakes for Kin...
