Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Image
Today is Mom and Dad's 40th Wedding Anniversary,  It's also the last day that Roy, Dean and their boys will be in town they leave early tomorrow morning. :(   So we tried to make the most of it!  We hung out at mom and dad's house most of the day,  We went to lunch all together   I'm pretty sure that THIS was Bridgett's favorite part of the whole meal.  Here she is giving me the out of the corner "no touchie" look  she's always afraid that someone will take her treat.  Aaron enjoyed his as well! Shortly after lunch we went home because we were having everyone over to our house for dinner one last time.  Since it was Mom and Dad's free day I got everything ready to make 4 huge homemade pizzas.  But My sister Dean and I have a few more tricks up our sleeves!  We got Dusty's office all ready put one of his laptops down there and spread out a blanket so that when every one came over we let the kids pick out a movie and sent ...

Photos and the pool

This morning my Auntie Gaylynn came over and we got her some photos that she needed.  She works for University of Phenix, and she needed some photos for when she lectures (at least I think that's what she said.)   I know she is not a big fan of getting her photo taken,  like me she prefers to be behind the camera,  but we all have to have our photos taken sometime!   I thought we got some great photos of her! Later in the afternoon we all went to the pool,  While we were there we talked to Missy,  The kids loved seeing her,  they miss their swim lessons!  I'm still amazed at Aaron and Bridgett's progress this summer as Missy said.  I have two little fishes!  Bridgett still love to throw herself down under the water and kick while doing pizza arms.  The funny thing is that she never goes anywhere when she does this.  Sometimes she even manages to go backwards.  ??   But I'm hoping that it will click soon...

"Where's Aaron go?"

It's been very quiet at our house the last couple of days... Poor Bridgett has been wondering around the house trying to figure out what has happened to Aaron.  What has happened?  Well he's been spending the nights and well the days too for the most part at Grandma's with "his guys"  He is loving his new freedom I think.  He is exhausted but trying hard not to show it.  Roy's family will only be in town a few more days and all I can think of is... keep going,  keep having fun we can sleep and clean when they go back home,  must enjoy!  must spend time!  Must get as much family time as we can while they are still here!!!! So we have just been hanging out and and enjoying.

Sad day :(

It was a sad day today.  This morning Tamara and her family packed up and left out house, drove to the airport and flew home.  It's been so wonderful having them here,  We all sure wish that they lived closer,  we just don't get to see them often enough.  I told Tamara that while they are here I feel like I don't have to stress that I only have two kids in my family.  When her family is here they have so many cousins to talk to and play with I know that they get enough kid time in. We all went to Grandma's house to say goodbye,  and poor Aaron was just sobbing,  he was so upset.  It hurts to say goodbye, and it breaks my heart that he has to feel this pain too.  We are just grateful that Roy and Dean will be here for another few days.  Good bye Jones family,  we love you and we miss you!!  Thank you for staying at our house.

Pioneer day BBQ

Today we celebrated Pioneer day.  Since Sunday was the 24th we decided to have our big family BBQ dinner on the 25th.  This morning we ran to the grocery store to make sure that we had some food for the week.  After that I made cupcakes for the dinner and got them all ready to go.   I was very sad I had bought these darling cupcake toppers for the tops of my Red, White and Blue cupcakes and now I can't find them! I have looked everywhere... I'm sure I will find them but I had really wanted to use them today.  Oh well there is always next year right?  Guess I need to be better organized. Anyway here are my cupcakes!  I was excited to make them for my family.  I realized just the other week that even though I have been doing cupcakes for orders,  I have never made them for an extended family dinner.  Sad huh?    And when you unwrap them they look like this...    We reserved the the pavilion at our Church f...
