18 Months for Colette

Today is Sunday,  and it's the 24th.  Today is exactly 18 months since Colette was born.  Today she should have been starting nursery.  A big step in all of our kids lives.  But instead of taking her to nursery my arms are missing her.  Thank goodness I have my other two children to keep me busy.  But they are getting older and bigger and needing Mommy less and less.  Which leaves mommy more and more time to do...  It helped to have family in town it was nice to be together... and in other ways it was hard too.  It's hard to look at my sister 6 beautiful children and know that that is one gift that I will never get to have in this life.   I guess I just didn't expect 18 months to hit so hard.  We went to Mom and Dad's ward for sacrament meeting.  Aaron did so well sitting with his cousins,  and Bridgett was kept happy with a little "painting" on Daddy's iPad.  After sacrament meeting we all went back ...

Behind the scenes on photo day part 2

And were back!  Sorry my last blog post was getting to long so I needed to divide it up a bit.  ;)  Right as I went to snap this photos a half naked lady went running behind right in the shot.  I said something to the effect of hang on here comes a half naked lady running down the street.   Love this shot to funny! Yes this little lady did NOT want her photo taken.  But we took it anyway,  when she get bigger we will use it for black mail! I was trying to get a photo of all the grandkids,  often time when I take a photo I say " everyone get as close as you can to your neighbor and give them a big hug!  I was just getting ready to say that when Mom who was standing behind me said 'everyone hug the person next to you.  which of course gave this result.  Not exactly what we were looking for.  In fact mom said behind me.... "that didn't really work"  But it did work to see what personality our kids hav...

Family Photo day!

This morning we got up and got all the kids all ready and met at the park for family photos.  So how does one have a family photo taken when the photographer is a member of the family?  Imagine if you will a tripod.  and camera timer and lost of running!   Yep what can I say it really does work!  :)  It also helps that my camera will take 9 shots in a row when you have the self timer on.  So that makes it easier too.  But I think we got some great shots!   It's the first time that we have all been together in the last 2 years so a new picture was over due.  Of course Colette is missing.  But we brought in a bunch of daisies to remind us that while she is not with us right now.  That families are forever and Colette will always be a part of our family and missed until we are all together again. And of course we can't forget the behind the scenes photos.  My family is very funny,  we are ...

Today was cleaning day!  Today Uncle Roo and Auntie Dean are driving from California to Utah to come join our summer fun.  We are so excited to have them here!  So why are we cleaning?  Well Auntie Dean is very allergic to ummmm  well basically food.  So to keep her allergies down to a minimum Tamara and her family are going to come down to our house to stay!  Where are we going to put them?  Actually we have more room in this house than you think we have!  Michaela will be in my craft room,  Natalie, Abigail, and Eme will be in sleeping bags on the floor in Dusty's office.  Aaron will be on the floor in Bridgett's room and Trevor and Anthony will be in Aaron's room, one in the bed and one on the floor, and Tamara and Jeremiah will be on an air mattrice in the family room.  So today I am cleaning so that it will all clean when everyone gets here.  Bridgett got to play at Grandma's house with Eme and Abigail....

This morning I took Bridgett to get her hair cut by Adalie,   I usually cut her hair but I wanted a different style for her more stacked in the back since that is where she gets most of her fly away's.  She did so good sitting up in the chair all by herself like the big girl that she is! And here is the finished product!  So cute!!! Today was the last day of swim lessons for the kids.  I'm so glad that we were able to squeeze it in with all of family here!   After the kids lessons we went down to the rec center and meet Tamara's family there.  Of course Bridgett loved to go down the "big red slide"  so we did that about a million times!  Then I had to tell her that it was time to play somewhere else, at least for a little bit.  We watched Aaron jump off the diving board for the first time ever!!!!  What a great accomplishment!  Lots of fun things can happen when you realize that it does not matter how deep the water is when...
