This is what I did for Dusty, There is a story behind it of course. (is there not always?) About 3 months after Aaron was born Dusty and I went on a date and we stopped at the fabric store and He picked out all the different fabrics that he would like to have in a quilt. I had decided that I wanted to learn how to quilt. So we bought the fabric and now.... 5 years later, I decided to actually get it done for his Christmas present. I worked on it for hours while the kids were in bed and when dusty was working late. I was hoping to keep it a surprise and I think I actually managed to. He knew that I was making quilts for the kids and I even asked him if it bother him if I used his fabric to make one for Aaron (how mean am I?) I was so happy when it finally came together. And a special Thanks goes out to Grandma Smith and Grandma Pendleton who brought quilt frame and spent a Sat helping me get all the quilts tied, Without their help I think I would still be trying to get them tied!

And on the back I decided to do a little something special, I've been reading a few quilting blogs, and noticed that some ladies like to tie in a little color on the back to match the front, and I rather liked it. So I decided to give it a try, It's a little hard to tell in this photo but I love how it looks! It was more work but hey it was fun too.

Dusty says that he loves it and here it is in it's new home. It's rather large it's a tad bit bigger than queen size, and since Christmas day I have come downstairs several times to find him and the children all snuggled together on the couch under it enjoying some down time in front of a show. It seems to be a great hit!
Love it! You know someone with quilt frames? that's nice, I just do it on the floor!
