New Years Eve

Happy New Years Eve! Well we have pretty much spent the last week trying to recover from the eventful Christmas we had, The kids have loved having their Daddy home all week and So have I. He has played with them and all their new toys and they are all just having a blast. Well since we had the Christmas eve party at our house Dusty and I thought that have a quiet New Year's Eve at home sounded wonderful! Apparently however someone else in our house had other plans! Aaron got up this morning and announced that today was New years eve, and this is the day with no bed time! (what???? How on earth did he figure that one out???) And tonight we were going to have a party and what were we going to do at our party and who was coming? Dusty and I just looked at each other and we both realized that we were in BIG trouble! So that day we decided to have a make your own pizza night and invite my parents. It was all rather last min but it worked! Dusty and I got to go out on a date to lunch and use our Olive Garden gift cards that we got from Roy and Dean. We had not been on a date in what felt like forever so it was just very nice! While we were out we ran to walmart and grabbed a few toppings that would be needed for our pizza's. Aaron was so excited to be able to make his own pizza. Later that day I chopped up all the toppings, and made pizza sauce and the dough. And our little party started. Aaron loved making the little pizza's and so did Bridgett. We ended up giving her her own little piece of dough and let her go to town. She sat at the counter and rolled her dough forever! We all had a great time and enjoyed out own personal pizza's, most of them made by Aaron. And of course it's not a new years eve party if you don't watch a movie before bed time! Thank goodness we were able to save our New Years Eve in our son's eyes, and find something that was party worthy at the last min! I guess that should teach me that we can ever just have a quiet night at home on a holiday. Our kids are just growing up way to fast!

  1. What fancy pizzas. When we do individual pizza I'm lazy and use english muffins. Looks like it was a fun night and I'm sure Aaron will always remember you making it fun!
