Friday

This morning I told Aaron that if he helped me get my chores done and was a good listener today we would all go to the pool this afternoon. Of course he was so excited the boy LOVES the pool. He had to go run and put on his swim suite right away. Of course then Bridgett had to have her's one too. We got a lot done this morning and I even got out do much needed spraying on the weeds with roudup while the kids played in the family room. I was nervous about taking them both to the pool with out Grandma so I told them if they didn't have on their listening ears and stay close to me we would just pack up and go home. But to my surprise they did great! I put arm floaties on Bridgett for the first time ever and she actually knew how to use them. Aaron could not make him self float with them to save his life but she is a natural. When she got used to the water the first thing she did was walk out as far as she could reach and then push herself off the floor to even deeper and started doggie paddling out even deeper. I was amazed! She has a new nick name now. We have dubbed her "BG the fishie" BG because when you ask her how to say her name that is how she says it. Bridgett comes out BG so we have fondly taken to calling her that too at times. And trust me this child is a fish! When she gets water in her mouth she just spits it right back out. Which was great to see her not swallow it! They both had a great time doing slides and just hanging out in the water. After two hours it started getting a lot more crowded and seemed that the rougher kids came out to play so we decided that 2 hours was long enough and we packed up our things and carried Bridgett out kicking and screaming came home. gave the kids baths and a quick dinner of waffles and then they had a movie with popcorn. I think they had a GREAT day!

I had to take a photo of Bridgett's darling swim suite. I found it at Target. First I'm loving the daisy on the front. (yes I know we are obsessive about daisy's these days but they are such a beautiful reminder of Colette how could we not have as many around as possible?) Second I'm loving that it's so bright she's easy to find in a crowd, and Third I'm LOVING that it has shorts AND and shirt. most of the swim suits that come with a shirt have higher cut bottoms, and the ones with the shorts usually have tiny tops so either they are covered on the top or on the bottom, but I'm loving that this one has both options.

Aaron also has a darling swimsuits but he was being silly at the time and didn't want hit photo taken. so you only get to see Bridgett's. I wish I could have taken a photo of them swimming but as it was I had my hands full just trying to keep track of the two of them at the same time.

  1. It sounds like Bridgett is fearless. I am glad you guys had a good day. It sounds like they both did a great job swimming and having fun in the pool! Her little swimming suit is so cute. Love the daisy on her suit! I am the same way with butterflies.
