Happy Birthday Aaron!
Today is Aaron's official birthday. I can't believe my baby is 7? It does not seem like its' could possibly be 7 years since he joined our little family! Where does the time go??? Aaron was so excited to take "treats" to his class at school. And me? It kills me that people hire me to do cupcakes for showers, parties and other things but I have to BUY baked goods to take them to my child's school. But then as Nannie says... think how grateful you are that some OTHER people have to buy their too. and so I say fair enough. So Aaron's choice was doughnuts. which actually lessened the blow. I have no desire to learn how to make doughnuts! So buy them I will! Bridgett and I took Aaron to school, he held Bridgett's hand for me while I held the doughnuts. As I'm sitting in the hallway waiting for the bell to ring so I could drop off the treats I'm standing there thinking of all the other things that I needed to do that day and wishing I could hurry and get going on them when Aaron turns to me and says "isen't this the best day every Mom? This is so fun!!!!" And once again my young man has taught me another lesson. Take the time to enjoy the little things in life. Do ever be to busy that you don't see how important the little things are to your kids. So I told him that YES this is the best day ever and that I'm so excited to be at school with him holding his "treats".
While Aaron was at school I hurried to get his "birthday present" done. Which was he got star wars cling ons for his room. So while he was gone I cleaned his room, changed out his bedspread and re decorated his room with all his new star wars items.
He LOVED it when he came home and saw it!
I'm going to slowly start taking down the more "younger Boy" things on his shelf and replacing them with star wars things when I find them.
I picked out this movie poster for him and he loves it!
I think his favorite part is this life size yoda cling on. He looks so real doesn't he? like he's going to fly off the wall and get you! The best part is that the light sabers glow in the dark. Aaron really likes that part too.
The best part for ME was that his walls are already blue and his comforter and his curtains I made him last summer work PERFECTLY with his new "big boy" room.
I told Aaron for dinner on his birthday he could pick out whatever he wanted and I would make it for him. So his choice of choice was Hamburgers and fries.
I still need to get his 7 year picture taken but when I do I'll post it. But while I'm here I want to take a few mins to tell you some wonderful things about my Aaron.
Aaron at 7 loves:
*to be outside
*to play with friends
*to play wii
*to play spend time and have sleepovers with his Grandparents
*to play sports
*to spend time with his daddy
*to be a big brother
* hamburger happy meals!
* drawing and doing crafts
*going swimming
Aaron is a wonderful big brother to his two sisters and I'm so proud that he is my Son! He has taught me a lot in the last 7 years and I have no doubt that if I keep listening, he will keep teaching me.
