Wilton Cake Decorating Classes

So I’ve been saying for YEARS  that I wanted to take the Wilton Cake Decorating Classes,  And I’ve been saying it a lot since I’ve lost Colette,  Something to do to keep busy type thing.  But I’ve never signed up for them.  The biggest reason is that there is no where close that offers them.  And driving into Provo at night does not always sound appealing.  Then Hobby Lobby came to our town.  Hurray!  I think I could live in that store!  I went in the other day just to grab something that I needed so I asked the lady about cake decorating classes, and on a whim signed up for the first one.  Now I’ve taken the first one before but I was only about 12 years old and I figured that a re do on the course would be helpful.  Let’s face it I”m not good at frosting a cake.  I try I really do but I’m never happy with the outcome.  I would sure love to have a beautiful finished product when I’m done frosting a cake and not something that I”m not very happy with.  So starting mondays all this month I’ll be at Hobby Lobby for two hours learning how to create with frosting.  Wish me luck!!!  Also the class tonight was so much fun and I loved the instructor so much, and since they were offering classes for 20$ instead of 45$  I also signed up for the wed night classes.  Which is the flowers and cake design class.   So now I have TWO classes to go to through this month.  Yes I know I’m crazy but I know that next month will be full of family time so I thought why not?  I’ll have to post photos of the things we do through this month.  Tonight was just tips and things to help bake and frost a great cake.  Next week I have to bring a cake frosted and layered so we will see how that goes!!!  Hurray for learning new things.
