Much Better Friday
Today is the last day of school for Aaron, I can't believe that my first born baby is getting so big! It's like it happened over night. We got up early and walked him to school since the whole school was going to be there from 8:-9:30 instead of on two different tracks, so we knew that dropping him off would be a nightmare! After we dropped him off we walked home and let Bridgett run around for 20 mins and then it was time to start walking to pick up Aaron again. So Back into the stroller we went and got to the school right before the last bell rang. We got home long enough for Aaron to go potty, and grab his bike and we met a friend at the corner to walk down to the cemetery to show them Colette's headstone. Aaron had a great time riding his bike and playing with their son. we walked around the cemetery enjoying the things that people have placed for memorial day. We then walked home, gave the children a quick lunch and dropped Bridgett off at Mom's. (She was not feeling well so I didn't want to drag her to the water party.) Then we got home and Aaron got dressed in his swimsuit and was so excited to go to the anual last day of school party up the street. He had so much fun, and truthfully I did to. We ate lunch, talked with lots of people and Aaron ran around playing with friends. They had a few bouncy blow up things and the kids had a great time bouncing on them. After almost 2 hours Aaron was wet and cold, and the weather had gone from nice and sunny to cloudy and rainy and probably not that warm is your wet. So Aaron and I said goodbye and walked home. Aaron was so tired I had to help him get dressed. We picked up Bridgett and came home to watch a show. Aaron was so exhausted and I realized that we had done a whole lot of walking before he ran around for 2 hours at the party. I think we wore him out! Sadly as great as our day started it didn't end so well. I ended up having to call dusty to come home a little bit early because I came down with the flu. I did get to spend a lot of time working on Colette's book since I could not sleep so that was a plus. Thankfully it was a shot flu, but not fun none the less.
I think Aaron is so excited for school to be over and summer to be here. I'm just hoping that we can find things to keep Him and Bridgett busy. Or it is going to be a LONG summer!
