This afternoon we took the kids to the steel days carnival in the library park. Grandma and Grandpa bought each of the grandkids some tickets and they all divided into buddies and found fund things to splurge their tickets on. Nannie and Papa joined us for some Carnival fun as well. Tamara and I kept the younger of our kids (ok so that would be ALL my kids) with us and we kept a close eye on them.
Bridgett got to ride her first roller coster and I was a bit worried since I didn't know if she was going to like it or hate it but she loved it! When the worker helped her into the ride she looked up at him, gave him a big smile and said "Thank you!" It was just her and Aaron on the ride and he let them have a nice long one. When she got off she said to the man as he helped her down. "You have a fun ride Thank you!" He smiled and I think it made his day.
And it's hard to see it cuz I only had my phone camera but this is a photo of Auntie Tamway and Abigail and Bridgett on the farris wheel. It was also Bridgett first time on this ride as well. And of course she loved it!

While we were at the carnival we also went in to check out the Steel days art show in the Library.
Here is the photo I entered, Yep no ribbon. so wrong! lol I mean really how can that NOT win???? Talk about your caveman pride! Oh well I've gotten a few ribbons from the steel days art show in the past. It's always interesting to see how the judges judged things. Some things I agree on and other I wonder what in the world they are thinking! But Aaron liked seeing Mommies' photo on display and really teaching him that we do these things for fun not because we want to win is the most important thing to teach him.
After our carnival tickets were spent we made our way down the street to Wendy's where Nannie and Papa treated us all to a late lunch. (or 2nd lunch as it was for some of us) It was fun to sit and visit and while we were there it started raining so hard there were just sheets of water coming down for a good half hour. It's been a long time since I have seen rain come down like that. So we hung out until it got light enough that we could make our way to the cars without getting drenched.
Bridgett and Abigail were so excited to have a table all to themselves with no adults or older kids there to watch over them. Ahhhhh the taste of independence!
Bridgett dipping her fries into her frosty just like her mommy used to like to do! (back when I got to eat fries or frostys!)

After Wendy's (really how much can you squeeze into one day?????) the girls sat around the table and worked on their flip flop craft. They all tied strips of fabric around their flip flops, Bridgett had lots of fun and I'll have to get a picture of her's when she puts them on they look like slippers or a sheep dog. It's cute.
