Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Today is Mom and Dad's 40th Wedding Anniversary,  It's also the last day that Roy, Dean and their boys will be in town they leave early tomorrow morning. :(   So we tried to make the most of it!  We hung out at mom and dad's house most of the day,  We went to lunch all together

I'm pretty sure that THIS was Bridgett's favorite part of the whole meal.  Here she is giving me the out of the corner "no touchie" look  she's always afraid that someone will take her treat.

 Aaron enjoyed his as well!

Shortly after lunch we went home because we were having everyone over to our house for dinner one last time.  Since it was Mom and Dad's free day I got everything ready to make 4 huge homemade pizzas.  But My sister Dean and I have a few more tricks up our sleeves!  We got Dusty's office all ready put one of his laptops down there and spread out a blanket so that when every one came over we let the kids pick out a movie and sent them down to the office for them to have a fun picnic dinner by  themselves  And when the grownups came over this is what they found...

Yes Dean and I have been being very crafty!  Mom and Dad's wedding colors were red and white so we tried to get as much red as white as we could,  which if you know me well you know that everything I own is pretty much green it took a little doing but we managed to get it done!  We even made red velvet cupcakes for dessert.

I happened to have a photo of mom and dad from their wedding day so I threw it into a frame and put it on the table.  It was a fun touch.

we bought a flowers for dad and a corsage for mom using their wedding flowers from 40 years ago.

This is my little helper waiting for her pizza to be done so that she could eat with "her guys"
My brother wearing his crown :)

wow that must be one yummy cupcake!!!!  After dinner Nannie and Papa came over and joined us for dessert

the whole group,  the kids wondered up for some dessert too.

My brothers cute family with Nannie and Papa.   After dessert it was late,  past nine and everyone started to say goodbyes since they have to leave early in the morning.  Aaron just started sobbing when he realized that he once again had to say good by to more of his cousins!   Oh he cried so hard and for so long!  He cried himself to sleep that night for over an hour and pretty much work up crying too.  Poor guy :(  I sure wish that our family lived closer for sure.  Oh but we have had a wonder time together this summer!  And I'm grateful for all the new memories that we have to remember.
