Christmas Eve festivities.

Today for Christmas eve was a pretty mellow day,  which is good the house is clean the goodies are baked and the party starts at 5pm.  Aaron is so excited!   We played Santa Bingo which was a gift from one of our neighbors and the kids had great fun playing.  Bridgett was more into eating her m&m's than using them for markers but it was fun.   Right before the family party started at our house I let Bridgett and Aaron open their Christmas eve gift.  and this is what they found.

They were so excited have matching jammies.  and in case you can't figure out what that print is... here is an better view.

Yes we are all about the lego Starwars at our house.  They decided they liked their jammies so much they wore them through the whole family party.
At five Grandma Cindy, Grandpa Roy, Grandma Teena, Grandpa Ken, Uncle Kyle,  Grandma Smith and Nannie and Papa came and we had build your own hoggie sandwiches,  with chips and dip and wassail on the stove.  We had a little story about Christmas and how each letter stands for something that has to do with Jesus.  Then we played the gift exchange game and then ended with the chimes.  It was so fun to play the chimes with everyone Kyle and Grandpa Ken seemed to have LOTS of fun playing them.  At 7:30 we put Bridgett to bed since it was way past her bedtime.  And at that point every one went back home to be able to get ready for Christmas.  I had told Aaron that I would take him to the Christmas party at William and Susan's Christmas party for a bit.  It was Jake's last Christmas before leaving on his mission so we grabbed our gifts for the gift exchange at their house and off we went.  It was really foggy!  It's hardly ever foggy here but I guess that was our version of a white christmas.    Anyway I was really proud of Aaron there were some really fun things at the gift exchange and I was really proud of him for not getting upset when they got taken away from him (all in fun of course that's how the game is played)  He was such a great sport so I've so proud of him!  After the game was over we went home by this time it was 9:00 and it past time to get Aaron into bed so Santa could come.  And that was our fun family Christmas Eve.  The only thing that would have made it better would have been to have Colette with us of course.  But that goes without being said.
