Colettes Ornament

I can't believe it's December.  I don't know weather to say already or finally!  This year has been a hard hard year.  Last Feb I felt like each day that passed took a month to come and go.  In some ways it feel like this year has taken FOREVER to pass and in other ways it feels like a life time since little Colette was in our arms last.

We got this letter in the mail from Anderson's Mortuary.  Telling us of an open house where we could come and put an ornament on their Christmas tree in memory of our loved one who has passed away this year.

I was so excited!  Any excuse to be able to buy something else in memory of our Colette!  And of course I already knew just which one I wanted to buy.  It's something I'd been looking at at  Walmart that last couple of weeks.  It said baby's first Christmas on it and I just could not bring myself to buy it without having a reason to.  And now I had a reason to!

Dusty and I went towards the end of the open house and we meet Shanna and her family there and together we put on our ornaments in memory of our baby girls.  Gone for now but for sure not forgotten!

Merry Christmas our sweet Colette, we love you so much and miss you so much!  We hope you have a wonderful first Christmas in Heaven this year!

  1. I am so glad you had a reason to buy that sweet ornament. Thinking of you this holiday season & excited to meet you IN PERSON next week. :)

  2. That is so neat that the mortuary would do such a thoughtful thing for families that have lost loved ones.
